Schools Swimming
School swimming in Pretoria consists of a High School and Primary School league, and within the province of Gauteng it is known as the Tshwane District.
The High Schools have 5 leagues, A to E, while the Primary schools have 6 leagues, A to F. NTS is involved in most of the Inter-league galas that are hosted at Hillcrest Swimming pool.
Schools that start swimming for the first time, or are re-joining, will enter the league system from the lowest league and work their way up via the promotion and relegation system. This implies that if a school wins the Inter-league gala, they will move up and if they place last, they will move down.
